Slide4OAC Subcommittee Concerns
Is EOAF committed to providing low-barrier all-inclusive housing?
We will open our housing to include inclusiveness to all, including those that may still be using substances…we will assist in any that are interested in working toward decreasing use or seeking recovery services.
We understand the need to keep all those housed in our program safe and will help to decrease any bias, discrimination and barriers to equal and inclusive housing…we will have LGBTQIA2S+ -inclusive forms, signs, posters and other visible signals that the office setting is LGBTQ+-Inclusive. We will ensure that all restrooms are posted and available as All-Gender Restrooms in the housing facility. We currently do not have any LGBTQIA2S+ people on staff but have in the past and hope to in the future. We feel that a well-rounded staff help enhance the services provided to all peoples. Which direct services is EOCIL providing?Mobile Outreach, telehealth services(Testing, syringe exchange, PrEP education)Transitional and emergency low-barrier housingHarm reduction intervention (syringe exchange, naloxone, safe use supplies, wound care, testing, overdose prevention)4
