Agrochemical Exposure Assessment The use of pesticides in agriculture can produce a series of harmful risks to the natural environment, for example, pesticides may leach into groundwater and affect the health of aquatic organisms. Therefore, before the registration of pesticides, environm ental risk assessment can provide a scientific basis for the safe use of pesticides, the safety and security of agricultural product quality and ecological environment protection. Exposure assessment plays an important role in the environmental risk assess ment of pesticides. BOC Sciences has introduced a series of agrochemical exposure assessment tools to estimate exposure levels. The models and methods we use are applicable t o a wide range of agrochemical exposures for ecological and human health risk assessment. Features of Our Services  Defensible and transparent exposure assessment within the regulatory framework  Assessment of the potential risks of pesticides by integrating toxicity test data for different active ingredients of agrochemical species and established exposure scenarios  Application of the best scientific methods and data sets to address the most challenging agrochemical exposure issues for both ecological and hu man health risk assessments Figure 1. Pesticides exposure/effect model. (Rortais, A.; et al . 2017) What We Offer With years of experience working with models, our teams are able to effectively conduct assessments requiring a large number of model scenario s by developing procedures to ensure the quality of model inputs and outputs is maintained. Well - established exposure models  Aquatic exposure models for surface water and groundwater exposure prediction for pesticide registration and re - registration risk assessment  Drinking water exposure estimation for toxicological risk assessment using surface and groundwater models  Aquatic agricultural chemical exposure estimation using surface water modeling for ecotoxicological risk assessment  Probabilistic risk asse ssment by combining spatial analysis with modeling to examine chemical behavior with spatial and temporal variability  Water - scale water quality modeling Statistical methods for study design, and interpretation of data and environmental fate summaries Chemi cal kinetic modeling Spray drift and exposure analysis  Deposition modeling  Simulation of spray droplet spectra derived from wind tunnels  Aquatic and terrestrial habitat exposure  Spray buffer zone analysis BOC Sciences Advantages  Highly specialized technical and analytical services for the worldwide registration and regulatory compliance of agrochemicals  Robust analytical testing programs that span from research and product development through the production process to final product  Relies on broad i ndustrial experience, ensuring that all of our work meets the high standards expected by our clients  Our regulatory experts, toxicology consultants, scientists and inspectors will ensure that you receive maximum levels of guidance, testing and inspection y ou need.
