3. 307/25/2022About COOP at COA40 Departments, ~12,000 employeesCOOP at City of Austin is overseen by Homeland Security and Emergency Management DepartmentEach department responsible for development and maintenance of COOP plans.Assurance Continuity Manager and Assurance Notification Manager software platforms used for COOP documents and notifications.Central Information Technology (IT) department (Communications and Technology Management-CTM); works with IT teams found in departments.

Tsunami, volcanic activity earthquake are examples of the hazard categories that were removed. Added additional risks based upon experience of team; pandemic, cyber, riot/civil disorder, lack of potable water (boil water notice), IT failures (internet access, data center issues, etc.), transportation disruption.Department listed specific impacts to operations for each of the risk items.
