Senior Assembly Technician Job Type : Full - time About Us Kuva Systems is commercializing a low - cost, automated camera for gas detection and emissions quantification. We are leading a revolution in the measurement of methane emissions for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and improvement of site safety an d operations. Leveraging our proprietary platform technology, our solution includes both the camera and a cloud solution to enable our customers to automatically receive emissions alerts and reports based on images of methane and VOC emissions. Kuva Syste ms is headquartered in Cambridge, MA. Position: Your primary responsibility will be assembly and test of our gas detection cameras. This will include electro - mechanical, optical and mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub - assemblies as well as production testing of both subassembly and top - level assemblies. It includes using hand tools as well as custom software, data entry , preparation of test reports, and building of complex assemblies by following defined procedures and work instructions. The position includes the operation of two production 3D printers and will require some visual inspection and quality assurance measurements. You will also work with engineering to refine production procedures, test protocols, to trouble - shoot production issu es and to assist in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes. Depending on level of experience and candidate interest responsibilities may be extended to include inventory management, bill of materials refinement, assembly and quality inspect ion procedure development. This position is 40hrs/week, located in Cambridge, MA Desired Skills & Experience ● 3 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing of electron ic, mechanical or optical assemblies ● Previous experience in transitioning from prototype to volume manufacturing would be an asset ● Ability to follow detailed work instructions, handle miniaturized and sensitive components, maintain workplace cleanliness ● Go od manual dexterity, organization, and high attention to detail ● Experience with using basic electro - mechanical lab equipment such as digital multimeter, oscilloscopes, power supplies, stereo/measuring microscopes, micrometers, torque tools and pin gauges. ● Ability to make set - ups and adjustments holding tolerances to drawing and procedure specifications. ● Experience in use of thermal epoxy bonding and soldering of components is desired ● Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. unassisted ● Hard working, high energy and able to work independently ● Computer literate.
