3. IDENTIFICATION OF ALL STAFFAll staff assigned to Pediatric area will wear their photo ID's at all time. All staff will use RFID’s /Electronic doors which may prevent tailgating*.*Tailgating is when one uses his access card to open a door and allows the forthcoming person to enter the premises using the first persons access card. In this process the second per is not Identified.
4. Implement department specific protocol.Inform the concerned departmental Head.Assist the security staff for searching the area?Notify Security at Ext. 4444 & area supervisor with the name /gender of the infant.Security will declare Code Pink and inform communication department for hospital wide over head announcement.Security will activate their protocol and lock down all the areas.DUTIES OF PEDIATRIC STAFF IN CASE OF CODE PINK

DUTIES OF SECURITY DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKResponsibilities of CCTV Room:Timely respond to 4444 call.Declare Code Pink on wireless set & inform communication department for hospital wide over head announcement.Inform Control Room.Inform Departmental Head/General Manager Security.Monitor all entrances and exits including elevators and stairwells.Develop and implement other surveillance and access control systems as appropriate (continuous video monitoring).
6. DUTIES OF SECURITY DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKResponsibilities of Control Room:The announcement of Code Pink was provided correctly over the wireless set by the control room.Inform posts in wireless dead zone on telephone about the code.Send the search team to the area.

DUTIES OF SECURITY DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKGuards checking at every In/Out from Pediatric ward/clinic:Attendant cards of visitors/ attendants for verification.Staff coming in the ward and leaving it.Trolley/hand bags/suitcases/female wearing veil.Incase of Transportation (Pink card) worn by staff Matching of Mother & child band

DUTIES OF SECURITY DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKGuards checking at Gates & Entrances:Implement department specific protocol:Constrict the exit & gates with strict checking Constrict the entrancesChecking of Trolley/hand bags/suitcases/female wearing a long veil.Checking of the pedestrians and walk through.Checked the vehicles inside by manual checking and outside by Under Vehicle Search cameras and mirrors.

DUTIES OF SECURITY DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKResponsibilities of Search Team*:Upon notification of abduction via the overhead announcement/wireless, response team responded with a sense of urgency and seriousness. Reach the area in time.Cordon the area. Search the area with the help of local area staff. Note: (Search Team consists of) – 1x Shift Supervisor (S&S), 1x Security Guard, 1x local area Representative (Nursing/IPD/OPD).

DUTIES OF COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKProvide announcement of the Code Pink correctly over the Public Address System and was heard in the hospital.Announcement was made immediately & was recalled timely after informing.Announcement made twice with intervals and both in English and Urdu language.
11. DUTIES OF NURSING DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF CODE PINKCheck attendant cards of visitors/ attendants for verification if guard is not available.Its a collective responsibility. Watch for unusual behavior by an individual. Observe the individual’s general physical characteristics and inform security.Upon identifying a suspicious individual, Inform security if any suspicious person/lady observed. Please do not interact physically with any person, inform security and keep in eye till arrival of security. SECURITY EMERGENCY NUMBER 4444
12. TRANSPORTATION OF THE INFANT BY NURSING STAFFTransport all infants in a wheeled bassinet is preferred. This is the recommended anti abduction practice.All staff will wear their ID cards during transportation. Wear Pink Transportation Card for transport of the infant.Take special care of the Pink Card provided by Security department and only use it while during the transportation. Adopt the designated route for transport which is under CCTV surveillance.
