Slide3If caught with drugs in your bag or pocket, you will be arrested and may be charged with possessing an illegal substance, whether it's yours or not. If under 17, the police are allowed to tell your parent or carer that you've been caught.
Slide4If you were found with a Class C drug and you do not have a criminal history, you will receive a formal warning or a police caution at least.
If you're found with a class A or B drug you're likely to face a much tougher punishment.
Slide5The maximum sentences for possession of each class of drug are:

years in prison or an
unlimited fine
(or both) for a Class A drug
up to
5
years in prison or an unlimited fine (or both) for a Class B drug up to 2 years in prison or an unlimited fine (or both) for a Class C drug
Slide6Punishments for supplying drugs are a lot tougher. You should also remember that supplying drugs doesn't just apply to dealers.
If the police think you intended to share drugs with your friends, this is still considered as supplying.

Some feel chilled out, relaxed and happy, while others feel sick. Others get the giggles and may become talkative. Feel hungry, called 'getting the munchies'. May be more aware of their senses or get a feeling of
slowing of time, which are
due to its hallucinogenic effects.

Can become anxious, panicky and suspicious. It affects your coordination, which is one of the reasons why drug driving is illegal. Can cause lung disease, cancer and make asthma worse. Risky for anyone with a heart
problem as it increases the
heart rate and can blood
pressure.

between Cannabis and mental health issues. Drug use can lead to schizophrenia.
Some Doctor’s have identified cannabis psychosis as a condition.
Regular cannabis use at a young age is often very harmful (as a young teenager)

If you’re pregnant, smoking cannabis may harm the baby. Regular, heavy use makes it difficult to learn and concentrate. Some feel tired all the time and can't get motivated. It can be a gateway drug (lead to other drug use)
