Slide3OTES vs. RE Requirements
OTES is the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System completed by your administrator each year of employment.
RE
is an Ohio requirement consisting of 4 years of
residency
for all newly licensed teachers in order to advance to a 5 year
license.
OTES and RE are Ohio legal mandates. These are nonnegotiable requirements.
OTES and RE documents are not interchangeable. RE documents CANNOT be used for evaluative purposes.
