May 2017 Bishop Memorial Chapel - Kamehameha Schools Ministers for Memorial Services Kahu Kordell Kekoa Kahu Kekoa is the Chaplai n of the Kamehameha Schools Kapā lama Campus. Since 2001 Kahu Kordell has been a faithful servant - leader of the faculty, administrati on and students in grades K - 12. He is the P astor of the Bishop Memorial Chapel which serves the boarding staff and student s. He is called upon to give spiritual direction to Kamehameha Schools enterprise wide . Kahu Kordell is always in great demand by a lumni and staff to officiate their wedding as well as memorial service because of his relaxed style and the wonderful mana ʻ o he shares and imparts to each bridal couple and ʻ ohana. Kahu Hailama Farden Kahu Hailama V. K. K. Farden is a 1989 graduate of the Kamehameha Schools. He has been employed at Kamehameha School for over 20 year s and is currently the Regional Directo r, Community Engagement & Resources Group – Kamehameha Schools. Kahu Hailama has been serving as Minister at Wai ʻ anae Protestant C hurch since 2005. He is a former Hawaiian Language teacher at Kamehameha and has officiated memorial services for many years . Kahu Kelekona Bishaw Kahu Kelekona is a 1974 graduate of the Kamehameha Schools . He pastors Real Life Christian Center, a growing Christian Church in Honolulu that meet s weekly at Kalihi Elementary School. Kahu Kelekona has 16 years of experience as a senior pastor and has assisted the Bishop Memorial Chapel with memorial services as well as weddings fo r several years. Kahu Sherman Thompson Kahu Sherman is a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools Class of 1974. He assists Kahu Kekoa with the Sunday services and has serviced the Chapel for over 30 years. Kahu Sherman is called upon to do memorial services and weddings at Bishop Memorial Chapel as well as outside off - site locations for special events. Kahu Wendell Davis Kahu Wendell B.K. Davis currently serves as Chaplain of Mid - Pacific Institute and is a gradu ate of the Kamehameha Schools Class of 1971. He previously served as Senior Pastor of Kahikolu Congregational Church in Kepulu, South Kona and Chapla in of Kamehameha Schools Hawai ʻi . A grad uate of the University of Hawai ʻi – Manoa, Kahu Davis became an ordained minister in 1998 and is currently, seeking his doctoral degree in pastoral ministry. Today, Kahu Davis continues his ministry through Bishop Memorial Chapel performing mem orial services and weddings as well as a devotional outreach that has impacted many lives both in Hawai ʻi and throughout the world.
