Other well-known pieces since then have been ‘Requiem’ and ‘The Armed Man’.Fact FileKarl Jenkins was born in 1944 in Penclawdd, Swansea.Musicians of Wales – Karl JenkinsBefore he became famous as a composer, he was a jazz musician and he composed music for television adverts.He studied music at Cardiff University and at the Royal Academy in London.Karl Jenkins is also an orchestral conductor.
