Boyko Atanasov Chairman in charge of Supervision of Investment Activity Division Mr. Boyko Atanasov was elected Deputy Chair of the Financial Supervision Commission by the 44 th National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria on Octobe r 11 th , 2017 for a 6 - year mandate. He holds a Master’s degree in “Economic Systems Planning and Forecasting”. Between 1996 and 2006 Mr. Atanasov held different positions in the Tax Administration within the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria. From 2006 to 2013 Mr. Atanasov held different positions at the National Revenue Agency and in 2013 he became General Director of the National Revenue Agency until 2017. From May, 2017 to October 2017, he was appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Fin ance of the Republic of Bulgaria, where he managed and coordinated the activity of the Tax Policy Directorate, the National Revenue Agency, the National Customs Agency, the Public Financial Inspection Agency, and the State Commission on Gambling. Mr. Atan asov is fluent in English and Russian.
