Job Description: Barista JOB DESCRIPTION FoJo Beans is seeking qualified Baristawho possess a thorough understanding of semiautomatic espresso machines and espresso grinders, as well as a variety of brewing methods (i.e., pour overs), PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Educates customers by presenting and explaining the drinks menu; answering questions Sells coffee grinding &brewing equipment andcoffee/tea accessories & supplies how brewing equipment operates Prepares and sells coffee/teadrinks Maintainscafé inventories Keeps equipment operationalby following operating instructions; troubleshooting Maintains a clean, safeandhealthy work environment according tohealth codes Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and maneuver 150 pounds QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in specialty coffee and/or the coffee industry. Management experience preferred Excellent communication Proactive approach to problemsolving; a A high degree of ethics and superior customer service High level of organizationxcellent time management skillsand ability to selfdirect o Superior leadership capabilities; ability to work well within groups Focused perspective on what a highfunctioning coffee bar looks like and how to execute that perspective A passion for small business and quality products knowledge
