The number of dwarfing mutants being sensitive or insensitive to GA. The sensitivity of mutants in response to GA was based on the increased percentage of seedling length after treatment with GA. The mutants, sensitive to GA, were with more than 10% for increased percentage of seedling length. Otherwise, the mutants were classified to be insensitive to GA. This experiment was repeated twice and seedling length from 8 plants was measured as replications.

Rht-D1b+ I or Rht-B1b+ I, means the mutants with Rht-D1b or Rht-B1b genotypes, and being insensitive to GA. Others+ S, means without Rht-D1b and Rht-B1b genotypes, and being sensitive to GA. Totally, 33 of Rht-D1b+ I, 5 of Rht-B1b+ I and 47 of Others+ S mutants were compared. The data was from five replicates of each mutant. Values are means ± SD. Different letters in the same row indicate the significant difference between each group at P < 0.05.

The plant height, 1000-grain weight, spike length of WT and mutant (dm1 to dm18) from Zhongpuchang experimental station in 2016 and Changping experimental station in 2015 were shown in this table. The data of WT-1, dm1, dm2, dm9, dm10, dm11 and dm13 was from Changping station in 2015 and the others were from Zhongpuchang station in 2016. Data are means ± SD from five biological replicates. Significant differences from WT-1 or WT-2 were determined by Student’s t-test, *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01.
