The Graduate School âCompetitiveness of Young Enterprisesâ (WEJU) funded by the Manchot Foun-dation at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics of Heinrich Heine University Duessel-dorf awards up to ten doctoral scholarships, start date: 1st April, 2016. The duration of the scholarships is initially limited to 24 months. After a successful interim evaluation, it is possible to submit an application for an extension of the scholarship for another twelve months. The scholarship includes an allowance in the amount of 1.600 ⬠per month. Furthermore, it includes a fixed budget for travel and other expenses. Travel expenses may cover the mandatory stay abroad during the second year of the scholarship and conference participations. The scholarships are part of the newly established Manchot Graduate School âCompetitiveness of Young Enterprisesâ (WEJU) at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. The research focus lies on the intersections of the following three fields of business: (1) human resource manage-ment and organization, (2) finance and accounting and (3) marketing and strategic management. The call for applications addresses highly qualified candidates with a university degree in business administration (master level) focused on at least one of the research fields mentioned above or asso-ciated disciplines. We are looking for ambitious candidates aiming to tackle relevant research ques-tions on the competitiveness of young enterprises. In addition, candidates should be willing to engage in the international research community. Future scholars are expected to focus on a research topic at the intersection of the three research fields. Alternatively, scholars are asked to make an interdiscipli-nary contribution from the perspective of economics or psychology.
