Milk of MagnesiaType of Posting Revision Bulletin Posting Date 19-Nov-2021 Official Date 1-Dec-2022 Expert Committee Small Molecules 3 In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, the Small Molecules 3 Expert Committee has revised the Milk of Magnesia monograph. The purpose of this revision is to revert portions of the monograph to the previous version that was official prior to June 1, 2021. This includes removing the Identification B test, reverting the Assay procedure from ion chromatography to titration, and removing the USP Reference Standards section. Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update this monograph to current style. The Milk of Magnesia Revision Bulletin supersedes the currently official monograph and becomes official on December 1, 2022. USP encourages early adoption by stakeholders as outlined in USP General Notices 3.10.
