15. Crisis Response ManualThis Crisis Response Manual has been designed as a contingency manual for College personnel in order to plan for campus emergencies. While the guide does not cover every conceivable situation, it does supply the basic administrative structure and guidelines necessary to cope with most campus emergenciesYou will receive a copy of this manual, which is designed to provide users with quick and easily accessible information on recommended responses to a wide array of potential emergencies. Keep your copy in a location where you can find it quickly. A copy will also be available on the College’s website: newriver.edu All supervisors are required to review the guide’s content with their employees. Thorough review and complete information are vital to effective emergency planning at all levels. It can mean saving property and lives. If you are using a campus phone, you must dial 9-911. If you are using a pay phone line or cell phone, you must dial 911.Stay CALM and CAREFULLY explain the problem, location including the campus location, and give a callback number.DO NOT HANG UP UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO BY THE 911 OPERATOR OR IF IT IS UNSAFE TO STAY ON THE PHONE!If the situation allows, notify Campus Security or the appropriate Regional Director of Operations or designee immediately.
