Special Education Exit OverviewStudents who have exited special education services during the reporting period (July 1, through June 30) must have special education exit information (a special ed exit date and exit reason) added to their enrollments in Synergy State Edition. Student information must be entered or uploaded into the Synergy State Edition by the school where the student is attending. School Administrative Units (SAUs) are required to certify the exit data using the Special Education Exit Report found in NEO. Changes to student information in Synergy will be reflected on the NEO report after the data have been refreshed (NEO refreshes automatically every hour on the half hour). *Reporting period contains all extensions. No additional extensions will be given.

Locating the ReportNEO Navigation steps:NEO -> Student Data -> Student Reports-> Special Education Exit ReportOnce logged into the NEO system navigate to Student Data, if you do not have NEO credentials and/or access to student reports please have your Superintendent submit a NEO Access Request Form to the DOE Data HelpDesk. **Staff who require NEO accounts/access must be entered into NEO Staff prior to submitting an Access Request.

15. Enrollment Exits & Special Education ExitsEnrollment Data DictionaryEnrollment exits are connected to special education exits. Some of the enrollment exit codes will exit a special education record. Always verify that the exit codes are accurate in Synergy.

16. A few notes...This report looks at students who are no longer receiving special education services. This report will not include students who have had a change in disability status or placement.
