Emotional
Currently in my life I do not really eat different food if I am sad or depressed. The only time that I ever eat for truly emotional reasons is if I win a Water Polo game or tournament, my family then takes me and my sister, as we both play Water Polo, out for ice cream. This is one of the only times I will ever eat for emotional reasons.
In the Canadian food guide ice cream falls under the dairy category. For a girl who is 14-18 they need to have 3-4 serving of some sort of dairy product. While ice cream is not healthy and you shouldn’t eat it often it does fit into the dairy product category. A serving of dairy is 250
mL (1 cup) of milk or fortified soy beverage, 175 g (¾ cup) yogurt, or 50 g (1 ½
oz.) of cheese.Slide3

SocialTypically on a normal day I do not eat chips but as soon as we go somewhere with people other than our immediate family we pull out the chips. For example when we go to our cottage my grandparents are typically there, and sometimes we get to bring up friends but we most always bring at least one bag of chips.
Potato chips do not really fit into any category as potato chips are not healthy, but if they were to go into a category it would probably be the fruit and vegetable category. This is because potato's fit into this category and potato chips are mostly made from potato’s.Slide5
Physical During the summer my family always has fruit in the fridge and often my mom will put the fruit in a bowl for us to eat at will. We do have fruit in the winter as well but we have less.
Blueberries fit into the Fruit and Vegetable category of the Canadian food guide, as they are a berry. You need 7 serving of fruits or vegetables a day. A serving is about 125 mL, ½ cup of berries.

Religious/Cultural
My family is not a very religious one, but one thing we do celebrate is Thanksgiving. For thanks giving my family always has a big turkey.
Turkey fits into the Meat and Alternatives category of the Canada’s food guide as it is a meat. A female of about 14-18 needs 2 servings of meat. A serving of meat is 75
g (2 ½ oz.)/125 mL (½ cup) cooked fish, shellfish, poultry or lean
meat, 175
mL (¾ cup) cooked beans ,2 eggs , and 30 mL (2 Tbsp) peanut butter.
