2. Prophase 1Chromosomes pair up and non sister chromatids exchange genetic material.

3. Metaphase 1Chromosomes pair up at the equator.

4. Anaphase 1Chromosomes are pulled to the opposite polls by the spindle fibres.

5. Telophase 1One Chromosome from each pair is at each pole of the cell.

6. Interkinesis 1In this phase cells will grow and make proteins.

7. Prophase 2There is one chromosome in each cell.

8. Metaphase 2X shaped chromosomes form a single line across the middle of the cell.

9. Anaphase 2Sister chromatids move to the opposite poles of the cell. Once separated each sister chromatid is considered to be a chromosome.

10. Telophase 2In this phase spindle fibres begin to disappear and the nuclear membrane forms around each set of chromosomes.

11. CytokinesisTwo daughter cells are separated.
