Slide3Conduit for Routing CE Cables
A 2.5 inch OD conduit will be installed in each of the side tubes of both top and bottom APAs
It is done at the ITF after the photon detectors are installed

Cables are fitted into a leader tube of 2.25 inch OD with a nose cone
Connector are inserted in the leader tube at appropriate stagger and are protected
Cables have a protective mesh sleeve for the portion that is in the conduit

Inserting the cables into a 2.5 inch OD conduit works in the horizontal orientation
Cables have a protective mesh sleeve for the portion that is in the conduit
It was also tested in the vertical orientation and cables go down under their own weight

Recommend that routing CE cables through APA side tubes is adopted as baseline
Remining work (does not hold up decision):
Put holes in the conduit for access to fasteners
Design and build conduit attachments to the APA side tubeDesign the link mechanism between the top and bottom APAs
Mock up head wire boards on APA head tubeInsert conduit thru APA side tubesTest again in the horizontal orientation, this will conclude tests at the Physical Science lab
Ship all items to Ash River for vertical testing
Figure out how to adequately support cables, cables can bear their own weight when suspended the full length
Design cable reel and payout mechanism
