Philosophy

You Represent the Valley View community and with this comes a great deal of responsibility. It’s going to take your absolute best ALL THE TIME to represent those V’s you wear on your chest. “Enough talk, let your actions speak for themselves.”

We want to accomplish so many things this year, and the only way this is possible is by giving yourself an opportunity to succeed. To be successful, you have make that commitment day in and day out. “You got to want it everyday, not just kind of want it.” You have to be willing to SACRIFICE with PAIN, SWEAT, and TEARS to reach the ultimate goal, DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!

As a coaching staff, we have discussed what it would take to reach the goal we seek, and therefore have set some “

Athletes CODE OF Conduct

Be at school, be in class, see you at practice

Stay away from alcohol, drugs, and bad influences (Guilty by association)

Stay out of ISS or AEP

Consequences for inappropriate behavior can involve serious consequences, such as suspension from Track Team

If you have an

to be somewhere, make arrangements where it benefits you, not hurts you.

Coach Cardenas –

In Charge of all Jumps, which includes High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump. Will assist in all Relays and Sprints

Ramirez

– In charge of Boys Middle Distance, which includes 800m Run, 400m Dash and the Mile Relay for all Grade Levels. Will also assist in all Relays, Sprints, and Hurdles

In charge of Boys Sprinting events, which includes 100m Dash, 200m Dash, 4 x 100m Relay, and 4 x 200m Relay

– In charge of Boys Throwing Events, which includes the Shot Put and Discus

In charge of Distance events, which includes the 3200m Run and 1600 m Run for all Grade Levels

Daily Practice Schedule

Practice begins at 4:45pm

Practice ends at 6:30pm

Practice Monday thru Friday

DAYS OFF – Saturday and Sunday

Bring proper/comfortable workout attire. Bring Sweats if you have them.

The Bus driver is always in charge. Keep in mind, he is working to our advantage. So be respectful.
