Slide2Introduction
My apologies for the late notice for this meeting
I’ll be on holidays next week (October 4-11)Urgent matters: Marco
The week after is the week of the Collaboration MeetingI hope to see many of you!

Slide3Issues from previous meeting
Default fiber to splice on PAVE penetrator: the black one
Proposal to mark the spliced fiber outside of the DOMThe mark can be positioned very close to the exit of the fiber protection
tube. That position is the less handled during the BEOC mounting so we can assume the mark will not fade out with handling.
If default (black): with Tipp-Ex
If white: with pen/ink
DOM integration procedure:
Irene didn’t have time to work on it as she’s working on the base container
DOM integration review:
Date?Help needed?

Slide4DOM Integration Status: DU-2
DOM production for DU-2:
18 DOMs finished in Amsterdam (CH56C down to CH22C)
All DOMs connected to DU-2 VEOC!3 DOMs ready for acceptance test in Naples (CH32C down to CH28C)
I hope to hear from Daniele about the status of their test setup
3 DOMs finished in Catania (CH26C down to CH22C
)

Slide5DU-3 and onwards
Amsterdam: type B (CH55H-CH21H)12 DOMs on assembly
benches in Amsterdam Filled PMT structures are ready for at least 10 more DOMs
Erlangen: type B (CH55H-CH21H)
Catania: type C
(
CH55C-CH21C)Naples: type D
(
CH54H
-CH20H)These DOMs are (pre-)registered in the DB. The UPI’s have been distributed to you.

Slide6DOM components
DOM integration goal
18 DOMs to be built at each integration site (Catania, Naples, Erlangen) before the end of the year
DOM component situation improved since last meeting64 PAVE penetrators arrived at Nikhef
Testing will start as soon as possible
20 new fiber trays have arrived
Re-design including a holder for the A/D filter QR code
A
vailability of DOM components remains a problem
(Except for Nikhef)I prepared a shipment for Naples:
All components needed to complete 18 DOMsExcept PMT’s, penetrators (coming soon after testing) and grounding cables
The boxes will be included in shipment of DU-2 to Naples
I will prepare similar shipments for Catania and Erlangen soon

ELOG usage:
Every individual DOM is now defined as “Type”This makes it easy to collect all information about one particular DOM
We started using the elog as placeholder for functionality and acceptance test sheets
P
lease do the same for your DOM tests!
Please have a look and
use
the
elog!CLB/AHRS statistics at Nikhef:Waiting for more news/info from GiorgioAt next Steering Committee?
Firmware and embedded software versions to be flashed on CLB’sFor now: use latest revision as advertised on

DOM testing
Waiting for a calibration procedure for the AHRSOnly when this is defined, we can start measuring meaningful values to be filled out on the acceptance test sheet
Waiting for input from Calibration GroupPMT threshold
In ALL setups (i.e.
DarkBox
, Green Box, Blue Box, anything!) the PMT threshold should be set to “2F”, translating in 1113 mV
That’s the value at which the PMTs were calibrated in the
DarkBox
Analysis software: We need to define a standard, which can then be centrally distributed
Ideas?Dark storage of DOMs before testing
Proposal for integration sites without dark room to store DOMs in light-tight bags
Suggestions?

Notes:Catania DOMsUnderlined: DOM31 and DOM38 have new PMT structure: improvement in dark count?New HV caps: no effect observable in DC’sNo compass calibrations performed on any DOM (no procedure defined, excluded from this table)
Slide10Collaboration meeting
There is a DOM integration time slot of half an hourWho will be there from the DOM integration leaders?
Can I ask you to present the status (max. 6 minutes each)?
For the people who are not present: will you present remotely or find someone else to replace you?Emanuele asked to have a tour around the Nikhef DOM integration site
A very good opportunity to exchange experience!
Invite all DOM integration team leaders + others interested
