I take my responsibilities as your representative quite seriously and make every eort to stay well informed. My family originated from the upper Kuskokwim River and after WWII moved to Seldovia, where I was born and raised. Growing up in Seldovia, I learned about the cycles of nature and the importance of respecting and living within our environment in a sustainable manner. My early experiences

2 made it clear how important my family, o
made it clear how important my family, our village and our connection to subsistence was. I learned to recognize, understand and work within cycles of nature, and am a rm believer that these skills can be transformed for use in the business world. I see us as an empowered people that can harvest the abundance we deserve.I am proud to see the Cook Inlet villages, CIRI nonprot aliates and CIRI working closely together to support our shareholders and descendants. Our Cook Inlet family is utilizing our talents and connection to subsistence and self-determination to empower and benet our people. Together, we provide a wide range of services ranging from job skills, to health care, to scholarships and more.In the past I have shared some of the decision-making tools that I utilize in the boardroom. This year, I would like to tell you a bit more about some of the things that I believe are key to CIRI’s success:Choosing and then working well with the president/CEO is one of the most important roles of the Board of Directors, because the president is the Board’s only employee. The president is the leader that assembles a team that acts as an accelerator to grow the Company and increase shareholder value. We have been CIRI’s culture, which is rooted in its values, is something I think we can all stand behind. We are mission driven, strive for excellence and are committed to completing our work with honor, respect and a spirit of unity. When you combine culture and discipline, you get great performance. To see what we are deeply passionate about you need look no further than the successes of CIRI and its aliated nonprot organizations. Consistent dividends are important and reect the stability of a Company. However, the dividend policy should not restrain the Company, because growing the Company is key to future dividends. CIRI’s dividend policy was developed with this careful balance in mind. Under the policy, shareholders have received consistent dividends, while the Company’s gross assets recently surpassed the $1 billion mark. These assets will be put to work to earn income that will contribute to stable and growing dividends in the future. Your CIRI Board is made up of a successful team and is not driven by any one person. It takes an eective and diversied team to: 1) examine business opportunities; 2) overcome challenges; and 3) set a clear direction for CIRI. I would be honored to continue to be a part of that team, and believe my commitment to our people, culture and heritage will continue to be a positive voice. I would greatly appreciate your vote. 13 2018 Voter's Guide 2018 Voter's Guid
