But now the drive in is dying as more people choose to see movies in the theater or just wait to they get released on video. As a result many There are only two drive ins remaining in the Twin Cities area. One is the Vali- Hi Drive In in Lake Elmo, and the other is the Cottage View Drive In in Cottage Grove. Both of these drive ins are not keep very nice, which may be one of the reasons they are dying. Although the drive ins in Minnesota might not be very nice there are two drive ins in Wisconsin that are kept very nice and try to keep to the tradition of the old drive ins. One is the Hi- Way 18 Outdoor Theatre in Jefferson and the other is the Stardust Drive In Theater in Chetek. The one in Jefferson is rather large but is still very nice.
