FY 2018 EDA Disaster Supplemental Notice of Funding Opportunity(NOFO)EDA has made available $587 million for disaster recovery grants in areas impacted byHurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria and wildfires and other federally declared natural disasters occurring in calendar year 2017. The funding will support community developed, longterm economic recovery efforts.The www.eda.gov/programs/disasterrecovery/2018supplemental. EDA disaster assistance grants are being awarded through itsRegionalOfficesunder the agency’sEconomicAdjustmentAssistance(EAA)Program. EDA’s EAA program enables EDA to make awards that support a wide range of construction and nonconstruction activities.Who is eligible to apply? Eligible applicants under the EAA program include a(n): District Organization of an EDAdesignated Economic Development District; Indian Tribe or a consortiof Indian Tribes; State, county, city, or other political subdivision of a State, including a special purpose unit of a State or local government engaged in economic or infrastructure development activities, or a consortiof political subdivisions; institution of higher education or a consortiof institutions of higher education; or public or private nonprofit is not authorized to provide EAA grants to individuals or forprofit entities.
