CHANANDA -- December 29, 1979 The true path of discipleship and the true inner disciplines of the five secret rays taught in India by the true gurus in an unbroken lineage descending from the ancient temples of Lemuria is that which we desire to see exchanged, interchanged with the path of the West. Therefore I bring to you the gift of the Eastern discipline. It is a way of mind and a way of heart. It is a fastidiousness to the discipline of the inner energies of the soul; it is a way of life that is one pointed. Beloved hearts, these virtues, attributes and disciplines of the Eastern path we desire to see outpictured in our community teaching centers and in our chelas throughout America. We have blessed the path of Yoga that has been transferred by the Mother to certain chelas of the staff as an appropriate sequence of the exercise of the physical body for the interaction of the spiritual bodies and the chakras. This sequence of exercises must be in the head and heart of Keepers of the Flame who serve here and in the teaching centers. Why would a student of the Ascended Masters need Yoga? Beloved ones, it is not a physical exercise of the physical body; it is a divine movement for the release of light that is locked in your physical cells and atoms, in your very physical heart. Releasing that light transmutes toxins, fatigue, and opposition to your victory; and therefore, not endless hours but a period of meditation and concentration combined with these asanas daily will reap much good and give you a surcease from the stress of bearing the burden not only of world karma but of a certain type of chaotic energy which is uniquely Western in its vibration emanating from the mass consciousness of uncontrolled feeling bodies and the wanton and reckless misuses of the mental body. Beloved ones, this path is something you can take up and not be deterred from your regular activity of service. We desire to see one-pointedness and discipline rise from the base of the physical pyramid and ascend to the crown. Many of you have pursued the discipline from spiritual levels, drawing forth the light of the Mighty I AM Presence down into the heart and into the lower vehicles; and this is as it should be as the path of the Father is the descending light and the path of the Mother is the ascending light. Thus, we build from that foundation and we draw you into the inner chamber of the heart and the science of the Sacred Breath which has already been taught to you by Djwal Kul, by Lanello, and by other of the Ascended Masters. CYCLOPEA -- July 2, 1982 I would like to remind you, as you embark upon a new era of co-creativity with Elohim, that over the past twenty-one years and beyond, there have been given to you simple exercises for your protection, for your harmony, for the expansion of the light, and for the ongoing initiations of the Path. Hearken back to the very first lessons. Restudy the Keeper of the Flame releases. Remember the "Call to the Fire Breath," Djwal Kul's exercise, and the hurling of the sphere of light from your heart. Remember, we have approved and advocated various systems of yoga for the maintenance of the rhythm of the flow of life. When these are combined with the four-point breathing exercise and the visualization of the threefold flame for the light to flow in the chakras, the rhythm of yoga, the rhythm of the dynamic decree, right diet, exercise, and the facing of the sun once a day for ten minutes as you give the call to Helios and Vesta (taking care not to expose the eyes to the direct glare of the sun) will give you the contact to a mighty reservoir of light in the heart of Helios and Vesta that is the balancing action for this solar system. Your Electronic Presence is a sun center of whirling energies of light garnering consciousness. It is a fire infolding itself. It is a magnetic forcefield drawing unto itself pure being, pure selfhood, cycle by cycle increasing a point of God Self-awareness, the awareness of being as the fiery nucleus of life. Here below in the planes of Matter life is also electronic. Man is a forcefield, complex, of whirling energies, molecules of Matter. He is a chemical formula all his own composed of many chemical elements. Man is a physical equation. Obedient to the laws of physics, he moves in time and space. Yet the soul is not bound by time and space; neither is it confined in its expression to the laws of chemistry and physics. The soul is an electron of the Great Central Sun of being. Orbiting around the I AM Presence, the soul is the electron that has the option of electing to do God’s will.

You who have elected to do that will have called yourselves chelas, and you are called by us chelas of the Ascended Masters. The path that you are following is in reality the path of the law that governs the electron in its orbit around the sun that is the I AM Presence. Those who are not on the path, whether consciously or unconsciously, are no longer free to move in and around and through the energies of the I AM Presence. They have not overcome the gravity of the mass consciousness. Their souls have not taken flight. To be free to respond to the initiations of the path, you must be free from the magnetism of mankind’s carnal-mindedness. “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Indeed , there can be no chela and no path unless the electron of being is free to elect to return to the center of God. Chelaship is the way of transition from the plane of the mass consciousness to the heights of God consciousness. Unless he can garner enough light in the aura of self to keep him free to orbit around his own sun center, the chela, by definition, is not the chela.

You then have a responsibility; and that responsibility is to keep yourselves so filled with light that at any hour of the day or night you are found free moving, a free agent of the sacred fire–not bound by your own sense of limitation or the limitation which others would impose upon you. You must be free to accept the limitless reality of your being. You must not allow anyone to take from you the freedom to be unlimited in your God Self. God made you free, and you must defend the law of your being and your freedom to create after the image and likeness of your own God-reality.
