Slide3What we hope to accomplish:
Slide4This presentation brings to our attention on our dire need to improve, increase, and imagine a better future for the residents and visitors of Grosse Ile. By making changes they can promote the beauty of our home, Grosse Ile.
Slide5Thefollowing fewslides areexamplesof pavementsthat needto be redone.
Slide6By the small parking space on bridge
Slide7We noticed that the parking space for the bridge controller is not obstructing the sidewalk in any way. The parking space is fine but it would be nice if the debris is cleaned up.
Slide8These grates are unsafe to bikers that are on the road because they are parallel to the side walk instead of being perpendicular. Bike wheels could get stuck in the grate and injure the biker.
Slide9Uneven pavement in front of the small parking space that needs to be repaved
Slide10Obstructed Sign Locations
Slide11On the west side of the bridge as it meets the land we found this uneven pavement.
Slide12Uneven pavements on the east side, on the overpass that need repaving.
Slide13The next 4 slidesportray hazardousand unappealing sections of pavement

Slide18Unappealing views of the bridge
Slide19We found one of many “holes” on the bridge posts that meet the area between road and sidewalk. This is NOT safe because small children could fall in if they are not paying attention.
Slide20We witnessed the guy with the hat falling down due to the poor condition of the sidewalk.
Slide21Walking your bike would be much safer than riding it on the bridge.
Slide22Add reflection tape sidewalk edges on bridge Repave pavementsCut shrubs back/remove odd plantsRepaint white lines on roads by bridgeAdd signs “Please walk your bike”Add plywood/other material to cover holesIdeas to make bridge more pedestrian/biker friendly:
