JOFI Assessment Management System , 5 - Star, Compensatory Scor e System The JOFI Assessment Management System (JAMS) includes compensatory scoring functions based on employer specific score profiles and 60 standard five - star score profiles aligned with JOFI job families . Compensatory scoring has three elements: • Banding: Scores are categorized into three bands: o Green (3 points) for scores above the threshold o Yellow (2 points) for scores at the threshold, and o Red (1 point) for scores below the threshold . • Averaging: Calculate the point average for the items identified with a STAR and blue background . • Five - Star Score: Display the proper number of stars for the overall score based on the average: o 5 Stars = Average in the range of 2.60 to 3.00 o 4 Stars = Averag e in the range of 2.20 to 2.60 o 3 Stars = Average in the range of 1.80 to 2.20 o 2 Stars = Average in the range of 1.40 to 1.8 0 o 1 Star = Average in the range of 1.0 0 to 1.4 0 The example scorecard above has 14 items marked with a STAR and blue background. There are 10 green items, 3 yellow items, and 1 red item. This yields a total of 3 7 points: 30 for green (10 x 3), 6 for yellow items ( 3 x 2), and 1 for the red item (1 x 1). To calculate the average divide 3 7 by 1 4 (the total number of STAR items that are scored) for a result of 2.6 4 , which results in a 5 - Star overall score.
