STUDENT OF CONCERN .GUIDE ITS ANEMERGENCY ITS AWORRY If you are concerned about the: :physical safety of a student.: :If a student is unaccounted for.: :PARENT ACTIONS: Call the Purdue Police Department at 765-494-8221. A uniformed ocial will check on the student. If the student displays changed behavior, such as decreased frequency of communication, withdrawal from normal enjoyable activities, a drastic change in grades, concerning comments, loss of a major relationship, hospitalizations, substance abuse or a drastic change in physical appearance. PARENT ACTIONS: Submit a Student of Concern Report through the Oce of the Dean of StudentsSomeone will reach out to the student. Encourage the use of Purdue Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) �� DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS DURINGBUSINESS HOURS STUDENTS CAN HELP THEMSELVES. .Utilize drop-in hours at the Oce of the Dean of StudentsUtilize Purdue CAPS. For mental health crisis situations, visit CAPS on the second oor of the PUSH building or call 765-494-6995. A therapist will conduct a crisis assessment and plan for next steps.
