Catoosa County Public Schools 2019 - 2020 Professional Learning Communities District Focus: “The Work of our Teams” District Expectations Each school will implement the PLC framework which includes: ● Establishing collaborative teams and designating collaborative team time during the workday; ● Clarifying team expectations and determining working artifacts which demonstrate the collective work of the team. These should include: ○ Team norms ○ Team S.M.A.R.T goals ○ Team developed pacing guides focused on essential standards ○ Team units of instruction ○ Team developed CFA’s and CSA’s ○ Analysis of CFA results and instructional planning/regrouping ○ CSA results and analysis ○ Other documents which help your teams answer the 4 questions; ● School leaders monitoring the work of the collaborative teams in their school. School and district leaders will support the work of collaborative teams by: ● Developing and training a guiding coalition/leadership team at each school; ● Participating in leadership development which focuses on: ○ Developing a strong, collaborative school culture which focuses on student learning and is designed for sustainable change ○ Monitoring effective collaborative team practices ○ Strengthening collaborati on between support programs for insuring ALL students are learning at high levels; ● Supporting the actions needed to become an assessment literate learning community.
