Day 1 – May 1st – Friday Meet at Roses, Belmont at 6PM Recommend Drop-Off Hotel is 3 Hours from CharlotteDrive to Hotel: Budget Inn – Franklin, NC Hotel Cost: $20 per person (3 or 4 to room)

Day 2 – May 2nd – Saturday 7AM Drive to Standing Indian Campground Parking Lot to leave cars and meet shuttle Shuttle for approximately 2 ½ hours to Springer Mountain – Cost $20-25 per person 11 AM Hike from Springer to Hawk Mountain Shelter Hiking Mileage for Day: 9.1 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 9.1 Miles

Day 3 – May 3rd – Sunday Awake when YOU want to Leave camp when YOU choose to Hike YOUR own HikeHike to Gooch Gap Hiking Mileage for Day: 9.1 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 18.2 Miles

Day 4 – May 4th – Monday Hike to Lance Creek Hiking Mileage for Day: 7.1 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 25.3 Miles

Day 5 – May 5th – Tuesday Hike to Wolf Laurel Top Hiking Mileage for Day: 11.0 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 36.3 MilesPass through Neel Gap Re-Supply at Mountain Crossings Shower for $4 – includes towel May ship package to 12471 Gainesville Hwy, Blairsville, GA 30512 (will hold for two weeks)

Day 6 – May 6th – Wednesday Hike to Former Rocky Knob Shelter Hiking Mileage for Day: 14.3 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 50.6 Miles

Day 7 – May 7th – Thursday Hike to Sassafras Gap Hiking Mileage for Day: 13.7 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 64.3 Miles

Day 8 – May 8th – Friday Hike to Blue Ridge Gap Campsite Hiking Mileage for Day: 13.0 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 77.3 Miles

Day 9 – May 9th – Saturday Hike to Deep Gap and take Blue Blaze Trail: Kimsey Creek Trail to Standing Indian Campground to meet our vehicles Hiking Mileage for Day: 12.1 Miles Total Mileage for Trip: 89.4 Miles

Items to Consider 8 Days of Meals – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Snack for 8 days (Re-Supply at Neel Gap) Bring your own fuel – share stoves Be prepared for weather (Rain, Hot & Cold Temps)Extra Items in First Aid Kit MAPS Watch YOUR SMILE

Pre-Requisites Backpacked with Dames 3 times in the last 18 Months OR Provide List of Backpacking Travels in the last 12 Months MUST complete a minimum of 6 Strenuous Hikes (10+ Miles) between February and April
