What your child will be doing
Kindergarten teachers and support staff will be administering the DIAL-4 screening (Motor, Concepts, Language) and letter identification
Nurse will complete vision and hearing screening (you will be notified if your child does NOT pass)
Counselor will meet with your child to get to know him/her

What Parents should e

Screening Day
Check-in table: child will receive name tag, parents will receive parent questionnaire
Child will be escorted to the screening area
Parent/Guardian will be escorted to the enrollment areaParent/Guardian will need to complete the DIAL-4 Parent Questionnaire FIRST before completing enrollment paperworkSlide14
Parents will complete full enrollment packet while their child is being screened
Bring proof of residency (utility bill, rental contract, real estate contract); copy of your child’s birth certificate; and copy of current immunization record

When screening is completed, your child will be brought to you
Parents as Teachers will score the screening and come get you to go over the results
Allow 90 for screening and scoring
Childcare is not
