Important Dates: June 2 nd : Science Venture (3 - 5 age group) June 19 th : Whole Foods field trip 3 - 5 year olds June 21 st : National Aboriginal Day and Summ er Solstice June 29 th : Family BBQ at XaXe Stelitkel Daycare 4:00 - 5:30pm June 30 th : Daycare CLOSED at 2:30pm for staff meeting July 1 st : CANADA DAY July 3 rd : CLOSED August 7 th : BC Day CLOSED July - August: SUMMER FUN Parents/Caregivers We are holding a BBQ on June 29th from 4:00 - 5:30pm. Please RSVP by June 26th to joanne.a@vnfc.ca . We hope to see you all there!! Please help us better the daycare by joining us on our Parent Circle meeting nights fro m 5:30 - 6:30pm, dinner and guided child activity provided, look for our next meeting in September. On June 30th, we will be closing the daycare at 2:30pm for Quality Management Meetings with our staff. We are having PISE come to work with staff on movement and outside play for summer fun with the children. Please be aware that our next meeting will be in the Fall, we will keep you posted on dates. Monthly Activities 3 - 5 year old’s: Healthy Eating Theme!! ** Our 3 - 5 year old ’ s have been enjoying watching our butterfly’s transition from Caterpillar, to Cocoon, to Butterflies. We are in the proces s of watching them fly away to start their journey of life. Our 3 - 5 year ol d’s will be venturing off to Whole Foods for a field trip on June 19 th , at 10:00am. Please make sure that drop off is no later than 9:30am, the grou p will leave promptly at that time. 2 - 3 year old’s : Beach Theme!! They are creating

Every Wednesday the children visit our VNFC library and h ave stories read to them by the Retired Teaches of Ontario (RTO). 0 - 2 year old’s: Our babe s in our Infant Room and continuously working on counting, alphabets, and Lina’s special sing - a - long circle time.
