Some gargoyles were scary, not to frighten people,
but
to scare away any bad spirits from the buildingSlide5
Some were based on animals, usually mythical
creatures
like dragons, griffins and goblins.Slide6
Gargoyles main purpose was to carry water away
from
the building so that it did not leak in to
the
walls and damage them. Slide7
The sound of the water going through the pipes is how the Gargoyles got there name. Slide8

Choose whether you want to create
an
animal or person’s face.
Once you have chosen think or look at that face, what shape is it, can you shrink or grow parts of it?
What main features does it have? Pick two features and think about making them bigger than normal.Slide20
Are the eyes big or small?
Is the nose short or long?
Don’t forget to make the mouth large enough for the water!Slide21
