Inspection of the Constabularies of the Law Enforcement Office of the Western and Southern Prefectures of the Police and Border Guard Board On 23 July 2014 advisors to the Chancellor of Justice paid unannounced visits to the following police buildings of the Western and Southern Prefectures of the Police and Border Guard Board: 1. Audru Constabulary; 2. Häädemeeste Constabulary; 3. Kilingi - Nõmme Constabulary; 4. Märjamaa Constabulary; 5. Pärnu - Jaagupi Constabulary; 6. Sindi Constabulary; 7. Karksi Constabulary; 8. Tõrva C onstabulary. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the cellblocks used for short - term detention and to ascertain the average period of time spent by persons in the cells. As a result of the inspection, the Chancellor of Justice found no significant s hortcomings in the protection of the fundamental rights of persons.
