Where do you find credible sources?
Websites that end in .edu or . Org are often better than those ending in .com…but not always!
Online resources found on school library or King County websites
Printed material (sometimes books, magazines or research books have helpful, well researched material for you to use)Slide4
You are required to find 5 credible sources by Wednesday
Question: Once I have found the sources, what do I do?
Answer: You may print the source on a numbered note card (i.e. write a number 1 on the card with the information for your first source; i.e. The Seattle Times; Sunday, April 24, 2011.)

Create a word document and place the MLA information for that source on the paper.
First, go to Citation Machine and type in the correct information. Then copy and paste on your word doc. Choose a color for that entry.

How does this work?
Watch this example….You are writing a paper supporting healthier food in schools. Your thesis or position statement says: School lunches should be made with fresh, local foods that students want to eat, are low in fat and high in nutrition.
You need some facts to back this up. So… you go to your Works Cited page…… Slide9
