About Me I grew up in Jessamine County I have 7 sisters and 1 brotherI excelled in sports throughout schoolI received a football scholarship to Georgetown College I played football at Georgetown two different times; 1982-1983 and 1998-1999 I received my undergraduate and Masters degree from Georgetown College This is my 14 th year teaching; all at TPS I’m engaged
My Kids I have two kids who both attend U of L They both received academic scholarshipsMy son Devin, is 23 and a senior and my daughter Dominique is a 20 year old junior
Entering Classroom T urn off all electronics before entering the classroomFind a seatGet folders and writing materials and copy Learning Target from board
Leaving For Lunch Put materials away and clean up room Straighten up desks and push chairs inWalk down the right side of hallway to cafeteriaEnter through the 1st set of double doors
Lunchroom Politely enter cafeteria and get food Sat at the 3 tables to the front right of the cafeteriaThrow finished lunch in garbage can and clean mess off table
Going to Gym Exit same doors to the HS hall for restroom break After finishing, go back to classroom for focus activityRe-fix room before leaving to gymPromptly enter gym through 1 st set of double doors
Gym Time Place belongings on stage and walk After walking gather around the big circle in the middle of courtGo through stretchesParticipate in activity of dayClosure before leaving
Discovery Skills Discovery skills will be used at all times If teacher or someone has the floor, show them respect by giving them your attending skills Dignity and Respect and sportsmanship will be displayed at all timesParticipation is a must to pass the class
Passing Work All written work must be passed with 80%, If not, you must correct Do your OWN work; no cheating excepted!Participation and having fun is a must!
Leaving Class Early If you have to leave class you must get a note (bathroom, focus, sick, office, principal, etc) If you are sick, I’ll call office and they’ll call back for youIf it is something other, I’ll conference with you to solve the problem
FOCUS ROOM If you receive an automatic FR from me, wait patiently while we call to make sure it’s available If FR is not available, we will conference to solve the problemIf you request a VF, we will conference with you and, if deemed appropriate, we will contact FR for availabilityIf FR is not available we will conference to solve the problem
Safety Drills We take these drills seriously Fire Drill-Exit quickly through doors to Pavilion-Gather at appropriate spot, back right corner where we take attendance againSevere Weather/Tornado Drill -Quickly and quietly go to PE office Lockdown Drill - S tay in class -Lock doors -Go quickly to PE office and set quietly -Wait for further instructions Lockout Drill - L ock doors -Keep teaching/playing
Exiting Class 10 minute alert!Place equipment back in equipment room Gather all your belongingsGet process points signed Closure Quickly and quietly exit to next class
