To Attract

Colour:

With the Colour, I decided to use a combination of red, black and blue as they go well together and are quite eye catching. I used black on the background because of the fact that it helps to allow the rest of the brighter colours to stand out.

Font:

Looking at the font, it is clear to see that it is bold, colourful and eye-catching. I made the font this way because of the fact that it will make it easy to attract people to buy the magazine as the colour and the boldness may catch their attention.

Image:With the image, I intended to allow my target audience to be able to immediately identify the genre of my magazine. As you can see, he’s holding a microphone which shows that he’s got something to do with music and his hand gestures suggest he’s rapping which is what I want my target audience to see so that they will be attracted to the magazine.

Cover Lines:

I have used cover lines as a way of attracting people to buy my product. Not only have I ensured that the writing is bold and clear but I have also given them a sneak peak as to what they should expect to see in the magazine.Slide3

To address

Editors Note:

I have used the editor’s note as a way of thanking and addressing my target audience. I believe that using this will help me to gain a positive reaction from my customers because of the fact that it shows them that I do take their thoughts into consideration in order to make a magazine that suits them.

Language:

In my opinion, the language that I have used in my magazine is more formal than it should be. In grime, a lot more slang is used which means that people who listen to grime would expect to see a similar sort of language in my magazine. However, if someone who just wants to read something different comes across certain words in my magazine that they may not understand it could be a bit of a problem for them and may turn them away. During the interview on my double page spread the grime artist being interviewed uses the word ‘damn’ which does show a little it of foul mouthed language which is expected in grime.
