a ‘linked’ Trustee – not as an LGB rep, but as a means to ensure line of sight and for Trustees to have a means

of

further oversight and for a school to have a further line through to the Trust

Land & BuildingsTransfer/lease of all school land and buildings to MLP meeting all legal requirements Retain shared use agreementsA key consideration is the asset state and value that the trust becomes responsible for and therefore its condition and liabilities – due diligence underway

The financial implications of the buildings dovetail to the financial work for planning future capital programmes

Slide15

The opportunityA shared approach to teaching and learning, increasing opportunities for sharing best practice, in particular with transition from KS2-3 in order to maximise progress for

children The development of a primary strategy for MLP which encourages other primaries to join, is led by experts in the sector and co-ordinated through a single leadership structureOpportunities for the continuity of provision for the most vulnerable children and young people, allowing all a supported pathway from primary to sixth form  The development of benefits through economies of scale and efficiencies in resources and facility sharing, providing both financial advantage and wider opportunities for student enrichment The recruitment and retention of high quality staff, linked to excellent CPD and career development The alignment of quality systems and processes across the MAT for the benefit of all and through a common set of values and

ethos

The strengthening of partnerships with other educational providers in the area including other Trusts
