So maybe your thinking that a marathon isn’t the best idea in the world. Maybe you think a car wash, would be better. Or possibly a bake sale. The world is filled with opinions and second thoughts. Its completely understandable to doubt the marathon would raise more money then any other idea. Sure maybe a marathon could go wrong if one of the runners slips and falls.

I would like to argue that a bake sale can go wrong if the goods are not baked properly. And very few people are going to stop at a school to let high school kids wash their car. Even if for charity. A marathon could work if we had the best runners in the school. Slide5
Reasons
-People can come at southern to watch.
-The Idea is expandable we could do more then just a marathon like a cook out.
-Family event people can bring their kids.
-Good way for people to get some exercise.

Evidence
There has been thousands of cook outs in the past and hundreds of them have been from a school. Like every year Rutherford Elementary would hold a cook out.

he Derby Festival that is held every year has a marathon, and will have another marathon on April 13, 2013. There is no reason that we couldn’t have a marathon
at southern.
