2. WHY? It’s the Law.ACT No. 2012-402 requires the State Superintendent of Education to develop a school grading system reflective of school and district performance. State-authorized assessments and other key performance indicators were used to create a profile of the School and School System.Each School and School System in the State of Alabama has been assigned a letter grade in accordance with State Legislation.
