We know it happens... so let’s talk. Registered in England, Wales and Scotland Meet our Volunteers Lorraine Richardson lives in St Helens. This is her story: “Over 20 years ago I lost my mum and it was the aftermath that made me want to join Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide and raise support, and the emotions I felt were sort of swept under the carpet. “There is life after and you do get through it. You do move on, you don’t forget, but you do move on. It’s taken me a long time to get where I am about some of the feelings and the emotions that are still left behind because you have a lot of unanswered questions.” Anne Cunliffe lost her son 10 years ago, but found she had to travel to Lymm for her nearest support group at the time. She said: “It’s always painful, but under these circumstances it’s terrible. For me to go and see people two or three years down the line who were getting on with their lives and doing their jobs really helped me because I couldn’t at the time see how I could get to that stage. “Wouldn’t it be lovely if nobody ever needed a group like this, but the fact is they do. I would really advise anybody to get the courage to come along as it really does help.” Come along to our next meeting Our volunteers, Anne Cunliffe and Lorraine Richardson For more information on how to join the group, please call us on 07580 358 312 Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide from Halton, St Helens and Warrington can Local volunteers Our local volunteers, who have all been personally touched by suicide bereavement, Working in partnership to help local people Research shows that more than 50 local people Working in partnership with the NHS and the Team, ‘Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide’ will ensure that help is available to local people who need support in dealing with the
