Agencies awarded 25 participant manuals (WWE/ALED)Encouraged to promote a

Community Partnerships- healthcare providers, Area Agency on Agency, Senior Centers, Senior Living Communities, Local Health Department, Meals on Wheels

Offer the program in convenient locations where the target audience congregates and at varying times
Offer incentives to encourage participation and retention
For example prizes for attendance, miles walked, etc.

Encourage the formation of walking groups as follow-up to program participation, and have them keep a record of time spent being active
If there is a nominal charge, offer a free trial to class #1
If possible:
Send class reminders via email/text/phone call
follow-up with participants who have missed classes
Host a graduation ceremony and have participants invite family and friends
Try to identify class champions to be spokesperson during recruitment
