Reflections and Ah-ha MomentsDistrict Data Dig #1Slide4
Ah-ha MomentsThe number of students scoring above 80% correct in the physical science section was dramatically different for 4th and 8th
grade students.
That the scores of the student did not correlate as much as I thought they would to their class level (honors, CP, or tech)
My
biggest ah-ha moment was the number of 7
th grades who scored lower in interpretation and analysis compared to 6th and 8th grade. While the number of students who scored proficient overall was comparative to the other grades, 7th graders struggled with interpretation and analysis.Slide5
Ah-ha ContinuedI noticed that the tech prep students’ scores are significantly lower than the college prep students’ scores. In some cases, the CP scores are double or more than double the tech prep scores. This leads me to believe that perhaps we are not challenging are tech prep students enough.Discovering how well our children maintained their NWF skills over the summer.Slide6
