Case Study: www.troi.io NuFu (an acronym for Nuclear Fusion) is a new breed of creative design and production agency, whereby their digitaltalent work onsite with the client. Based in London, but operating on a global scale, NuFu strives to bring togetherthe forces of agency and in-house to create solutions that are even more impactful. With a focus on transparencyand performance, NuFu is a disruptor in the agency world, delivering eective work in an agile and cost-eective way.NuFu is part of Engine, an award-winning global communications company with more than 2,100 employees basedacross locations such as London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Melbourne and partof a wider family with 13 partner businesses that make up the Engine family, including WCRS, MHP, Trailer Park,ORC International, Partners Andrews Aldridge, Deep Focus, Synergy, Mischief, Fuel, Transform, Engine Media and Slice.At the time, NuFu were a newly born yet high-growth agency. That meant that getting the right talent and skills inplace were of paramount importance. Being embryonic, customer satisfaction was a top priority and they needed tomake sure the right people were in place to grow their reputation.With client demands changing and evolving during a project and new projects being won, NuFu needed to nd acost-eective way of attracting and hiring talent on a short notice while still building their talent pipeline for futureprojects.They felt the cost of using recruitment agencies was prohibitive and the service they had received was mixed. Beingan early stage business, building their own internal function was not a realistic option but they appreciated the needfor something that had the urgency and reach of an agency whilst building an internal talent presence.After considering other onsite recruitment providers, they felt Troi’s extensive expertise in addition to a vast networkacross the creative and media industries in the UK was key in the selection process. As a result of Troi’s expertise Nufuhas been able to successfully build a talent pipeline against future projects, as well as streamline and standardisesome of the existing hiring processes and make the hires that were needed to land projects in a much more costeective way. “Things at NuFu evolved very quickly, priorities changed rapidly and there were times whenwe needed people at hours’ notice for our multiple freelance hires, or had a matter of days tobuild a team for a client win. Troi’s model is similar to ours, a flexible and integrated solutionwhich could adapt to change and change very quickly with that! They built a phenomenalpipeline of candidates, made hires with great urgency and bought in to our culture and ourmission.
