When using switchers or accessories, use one or more CAB-BOND kits to bond them to the audio analyzer. When used with additional bonding cables, they must be connected to the same ground post on the audio analyzer. Installation Instructions Connect the banana plug end of the 4155.0525 cable to a ground post on the audio analyzer. Connect the crocodile clamp on the other end to a convenient ground point on the PC (personal computer running APx500 or AP2700). ap.com See page 2 for additional information. s into a test and measurement system, observing good grounding practice is always important in achieving optimal measurement results. Small ground potential differences between devices in the test system (such as the test instrument, the PC, switchers, and the device under test) can couple into the signal path and cause undesirable interference or noise due to the inherent stray capacitance between signal conductors and the chassis. To prevent this problem, Audio Precision strongly recommends connecting the chassis ground of each device directly to the ground of the test instrument via wires having as low an impedance as possible. This technique is often referred to as “ground bonding” or “chassis bonding.” Bonding cables must have very low-impedance. If you make your own, use heavy-gauge copper wire, make them as short as possible, and terminate them with large surface area low-impedance spade lugs
