MIKI ATSUAMA X FOURYOU GALLEY AUGUST 2020Door to Door Existing somewhere between fine art and illustration, Miki Matsuyama’s paintings in ‘Door to Door’ are spacious and project glorious light. Each object in each composition sits gently but intentional, creating a well balanced and harmonious room in which to reside. Matsuyama’s artistic talent for the perspectives of space paves the promising path towards her dream of becoming an interior desig

The artist writes, “I identify to one geography and culture, yet I seemingly become inspired by others.” Miki Matsuyama lists the interior designer Pierre Yovanovitch as her biggest influence, and Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Picasso as her favourite painters. These driving forces leave her somewhat conflicted as she feels herself pulling away from her Eastern roots. However, Matsuyama comes from a family of arti
