VALUE MAKER APPLICATION. My name is Wonu Ogunlela and I currently work with Surrey & Borders Partnership Foundation NHS Trust as the Deputy Finance Manager for Learning Disabilities and Children & Young People Service. I have a passion for achieving the best outcomes at all times and even though my role does not directly involve patient care , I always make sure all my work is tailored towards achieving the best outcomes for the people we care of. Why do I want to be a value maker? I think I have the right skill set and personal characteristics to be a fore runner in developing a future focused finance team. I am able to effectively engage with people at all levels and I am very proactive when it co mes to change management. In my current role, I am always consistently working to improve the ways things are done so that the uses of resources are maximized. My current focus is to help develop a better profile for finance within my organisation as most people seem to have very a limited view of finance. I think this role will provide me a platform to be able to reach more people and also equip me with the right knowledge to achieve this. One special skill? The ability to engage and interact with people at various levels within and outside finance ensuring the best outcomes are achieved for all individuals involved at all times. How am I going to motivate future focused finance? There is no one s et way to achieving this but some of the tools I think migh t be useful to ensure that this happens are: - Ensuring that people have the right information at all times - Encouraging people to learn more - Been proactive and ensuring that any feedback received is dealt with appropriately. - Above all, engaging!engaging!enga ging!
