Who teddy was

Teddy was born October 27, 1858 and died January 6, 1919. teddy was born in New York City. He died in Oyster Bay. Teddy went to Harvard University , Columbia Law School.Slide3

What teddy did

Teddy was the 26th president of the united states of America (1901–1909). He was a republican and he was the leader of the progressive movement. He was also the leader of the republican party.Slide4

Teddy before president

Before becoming President, Roosevelt was elected to other offices. He served as a New York State Assemblyman, Governor of New York, and Vice President of the United States. He was also a deputy sheriff in the Dakota Territory, Police Commissioner of New York City, U.S. Civil Service Commissioner, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and Colonel in the "Rough Riders."Slide5

Teddy during president

As President, Roosevelt held the ideal that the Government should be the great arbiter of the conflicting economic forces in the Nation, especially between capital and labor, guaranteeing justice to each and dispensing favors to none.Slide6

Teddy after president

Roosevelt left the Presidency in 1909 and went on an African safari. Soon after returning to the U.S., he jumped right back into politics. In 1912, he decided to again run for President, and tried to win the Republican nomination against William Howard Taft. However, Roosevelt lost the nomination.Slide7

Was teddy a good man?

He had good points and bad points, as do all Presidents. As far as being a republican, he tended to be a bit of a liberal, advocating universal health care and national health insurance.
