As a blocking solution it binds to any remaining protein binding sites after the primary antigen or antibody is bound to the solid phase surface. As a diluent for antigens, antibodies, and other proteins, it ensures minimal non - specific interaction of these reactants with each other and with the solid phase surface. FORM/STORAGE/STABILITY KPL 10% BSA Diluent/Blocki ng Solution : 5140 - 0006 (50 - 61 - 00) consists of 2 x 100 mL 5140 - 000 8 ( 50 - 61 - 10 ) consists of 1 x 1000 mL Store at 2 - 8°C. Stable for a minimum of one year from date of receipt when stored at 2 - 8°C. If crystals appear upon refrigeration, warm the bottle to 37°C with mixing to dissolve. CONTENT KPL 10% BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution contains 10% Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) in a phosphate buffer. USE Preparation: Before use, dilute with reagent quality water as follows. Prepare enough blocking solution to comp letely cover the treated surface. Blocking Diluent ELISA 1:10 (i.e. 1 mL 10% KPL BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution + 9 mL water) 1:15 (i.e. 1 mL 10% KPL BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution + 14 mL water) Blotting 1:10 (i.e. 1 mL 10% KPL BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution + 9 mL water) 1:10 (i.e. 1 mL 10% KPL BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution + 9 mL water) Application: Use the blocking solution to treat membrane or plastic surfaces after they have been sensitized with primary antibody or antigen. Use as a diluent for antigens, antibodies, and other proteins only after sensitization of the microwell plate or membrane. Incubation Time: Block for at least 10 minutes to ensure adequate blocking.
