P lease reply with the name ( s ) of your top cats of interest and your information will be given to our NEKO adoption team who will follow up with you directly . Due to the overwhelming public interest in many of the cats at NEKO, the cat you are interested in adopting may already have a potential adopt ion hold on h im/her. WHS will place up to 3 potential adopt ion holds on animals available for adoption. For this reason, we encourage you to complete the NEKO adoption interest postcard with your top 3 choices so our staff can assist you if your primary choice is not available . There may be times when adoption applications for NEKO cats are compiled , reviewed , and the most appropriate match for a particular cat is then contacted for an adoption counsel. ALL WHS adoption polices and requirements must be met before an adoption can be finalized. All members of your household will need to meet the ca t you are interested in adopting, please keep this in mind when scheduling your NEKO visit . Standard NEKO visitation fees apply if repeated visits ar

e needed to complete an adoption. I f you are not selected for an adoption counsel or the cat of interest gets adopted by a family in line ahead of you , your adoption application will be kept on file at WHS for six months. We welcome you to check back if you find anot her cat you are interested in adopting and our staff will be happy to assist you . (over) FINALIZED ADOPTION - PICKING UP MY NEKO CAT Once your adoption of a NEKO cat is finalized, yo u will be provided with a date and time to come to WHS to process and complete your adoption paperwork and pay the adoption fee. After this process is complete, you will be able to pick up your new feline family companion at NEKO at a scheduled time and d ate. To ensure the continued health and safety of all the cats currently at NEKO and for new shelter cats going over to the NEKO facility, WHS will only finalize and schedule the pick - up of 5 adopted cats per week. Depending on how many adoptions are pr ocessed at WHS in any given week, this means that adopters may have to wait anywhere from 1 – 4 weeks to complete adoption paperwork and pick up your adopted NEKO cat . We recognize that this may not be an ideal situation for some, but it’s important that we do all we can to minimize the stress levels of all NEKO cats – current and new.
